Orlando Titans News Release

New York, N.Y. -- New York Titans first pick in the draft Jordan Hall was selected to the 2008 All-Rookie team. Hall led all rookies in points with 69 and loose balls with 109 this season. He scored 24 goals and 45 assists to help the second-year Titans achieve a 10-6 record and make their first appearance in the playoffs. The 23-year-old left-hander out of University of Delaware was named Rookie of the Week three times over the course of the season.

Hall is not the only rookie who made a major impact on the second-year Titans this season. Mitch Belisle, the top defender out of Cornell University, was selected by the Titans with the 13th overall pick in the 2007 draft. Belisle quickly adapted to the indoor game and started as a defender in 12 games. Rory Smith, the youngest player on the Titans at 21 years old, became a force to be reckoned with on defense this season, starting in 11 games.

In addition to Titans rookie Jordan Hall, Craig Point of Minnesota, Bobby McBride of Chicago, Jamie Rooney and Merrick Thompson of Philadelphia were all selected to the All-Rookie team. Point was awarded Rookie of the Year honors.
