Aiken Foxhounds News Release

The Aiken Foxhounds got back on track Tuesday night with a pair of home runs by Jeff Timmons including a Grand Slam. Evandy DeLeon hit is league leading 8th home run as well to help guide the Foxhounds to a 9-5 win over the South Georgia Peanuts. The Peanuts didn't waste much time getting on the board in the first inning on an RBI single by Steve Garrabrants. The Foxhounds came right back with a solo home run by Jeff Timmons.

Timmons would strike again in the fifth inning. After Peanuts starting pitcher Dustin Taylor loaded the bases, Mike Colacchio came out of the bullpen to face Timmons. After getting behind 3-1, Timmons hit a no-doubt grand slam. In the inning, the Foxhounds scored five runs to lead the game 6-1. Aiken centerfielder Evandy DeLeon led off the sixth with the third home run of the day for Aiken. The Foxhounds put up another two runs in the sixth and one run in the eighth.
