Portland Timbers News Release
PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Timbers enter an off week following a thrilling comeback against Cascadia-rival Seattle Sounders FC for a 1-1 draw on March 16 at CenturyLink Field in Seattle.
Midfielder/defender Rodney Wallace connected on the game-tying header in the first minute of second-half stoppage time off a cross from defender Andrew Jean-Baptiste to help the Timbers earn a share of the points against Seattle.
Following the match against Sounders FC, Timbers defender Futty Danso (The Gambia), forward Ryan Johnson (Jamaica), midfielder Will Johnson (Canada) and goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts (Jamaica) traveled to join their respective national teams for international competitions this week.
Danso joined The Gambia National Team for a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Ivory Coast on Saturday, March 23, at Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. On Wednesday, Danso scored a goal in a friendly against Niger contributing to a 3-1 victory to close out a training camp in Niger.
Ryan Johnson and Ricketts joined the Jamaica National Team for 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers as the country continues the final round of CONCACAF qualification. The Reggae Boyz play host to Panama on Friday at Independence Park in Kingston at 6:30 p.m. (Pacific). The team then travels to face Costa Rica on Tuesday, March 26, at Estadio Nacional in San José, Costa Rica, at 7 p.m. (Pacific).
Will Johnson joined the Canada National Team for a pair of friendlies in the Middle East, where they will play Japan on Friday and Belarus on Thursday, March 25, at Khalifa Stadium in Doha, Qatar.
The Timbers take to the road for a second straight away match on Saturday, March 30, at 3 p.m. (Pacific) against the Colorado Rapids. The match will be broadcast on ROOT SPORTS and carried on the radio at 750AM The Game. A Spanish radio broadcast will be carried on La Pantera 970AM.

Wallace nominated for Goal of the Week, receives Honorable Mention for MLS Team of the Week
Timbers midfielder/defender Rodney Wallace's game-tying header against Seattle Sounders FC on March 16 is nominated for the MLS Goal of the Week for Week 3. In the first minute of second-half stoppage time, Wallace nodded home a cross from defender Andrew Jean-Baptiste to help the Timbers earn a share of the points in their first road match of the 2013 MLS season. Tickets for 2013 Gold Cup matches at JELD-WEN Field now on sale
Tickets for the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup doubleheader at JELD-WEN Field on Tuesday, July 9, are now on sale. Starting at $25, tickets, which allow entry into both matches, are available for purchase through the JELD-WEN Field box office and online at www.JELD-WENField.com . The Gold Cup doubleheader at JELD-WEN Field will feature Group C matches between Costa Rica and Cuba at 5:30 p.m. (Pacific), and Belize against the United States at 8 p.m. (Pacific).
The U.S. National Team will make its third visit, and first since 1998, to JELD-WEN Field for the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup. The U.S. National Team defeated Kuwait 2-0 in a friendly at then-called Civic Stadium on May 24, 1998. The United States also played host to Costa Rica in a 1998 FIFA World Cup qualifier at Civic Stadium on Sept. 7, 1997, which the United States won 1-0 on a goal by Tab Ramos.
Timbers launch Rose City Rewards for club's season ticket holders
The Timbers have launched Rose City Rewards, a special program available to the club's season ticket holders through their Season Ticket Card. Now, season tickets holders can accrue points to achieve different rewards levels and be invited to participate in one-of-a-kind experiences, such as tours of the adidas Timbers Training Center and exclusive Rose City Rewards events. Points can be gained by attending matches at JELD-WEN Field, watching away matches on the club's broadcast partners or by watching the club's weekly television show, "Timbers in 30," each Friday on KPTV. Timbers invite fans to "ËSpread the Love'
The Timbers are inviting fans to nominate deserving people throughout the community to receive free match tickets through the club's "Spread the Love" campaign. Through special nominations by fans at www.SpreadtheLovePTFC.com and the work of 107 Timbers ambassadors, fans who have not attended a Timbers match are getting their first experiences at JELD-WEN Field. Fans will be selected prior to each home match throughout the season, and will receive a special "Spread the Love" welcome packet, which includes a custom scarf, tickets to a Timbers match, a Timbers Reserves match and a Portland Thorns FC match, all in a Timbers tote bag. 2013 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup format announced, Timbers and Timbers U-23s to participate
U.S. Soccer announced the format and participants for the 2013 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup . The tournament is scheduled to begin May 7. It is the 100th year of the tournament and features several notable changes to this year's format, including an increase in participating teams as well as an increase in overall prize money.
The Timbers will enter the competition in the third round of the tournament along with 15 other U.S.-based MLS sides, and will be matched up with one of 16 winners from the second round. The third round of U.S. Open Cup play is scheduled to begin on May 28. The Timbers U-23s qualified for their second consecutive U.S. Open Cup along with 15 other Premier Development League sides, and are scheduled to begin play in the first round of the tournament on May 14.

Most Timbers-affiliated pubs will have a chance to host an official viewing party for an away match and all pubs will receive Timbers merchandise to use their establishment. Thorns FC season ticket details for inaugural 2013 NWSL season
Portland Thorns FC have announced season ticket details for the inaugural 2013 National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) campaign. All regular-season home matches are scheduled to be played at JELD-WEN Field, with season ticket prices throughout the stadium's lower bowl set at $9 per game for general admission, $15 for touch line reserved seats and $22 for club seats.

This week's episode of "Timbers in 30" will air Friday, March 15, at 6:30 p.m. (Pacific) on KPTV FOX 12. Friday's show features in-studio guest Rodney Wallace, a profile of defender Michael Harrington and a look inside the Timbers Army trip to Seattle. Also on the show, Radio analyst Adin Brown diagrams what is working for the Timbers offense and Thorns FC welcomes in National Team allocation players Rachel Buehler, Karina LeBlanc and Christine Sinclair.
