Timbers to Face FC Cincinnati Tonight in MLS Is Back Tournament Round of 16

After finishing atop Group F, the Portland Timbers will square off against FC Cincinnati in the Round of 16 match of the MLS is Back Tournament tonight, Tuesday, July 28 at 7:30 p.m. (Pacific), at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The match will feature a national broadcast on ESPN, with local radio broadcasts on 750 The Game (English) and La GranD 1150AM/93.5 FM (Spanish).

Portland claimed first place in Group F after a come-from-behind 2-2 draw against Los Angeles FC on July 23. The Timbers finished the Group Stage of the MLS is Back Tournament undefeated, with a 2-0-1 record. In three matches played in the tournament, Sebastián Blanco has tallied one goal and three assists, while Diego Valeri has registered one goal and an assist. Additionally, Jeremy Ebobisse leads the team with three goals scored in the competition, while Jaroslaw Niezgoda scored his first career goal for the Timbers against LAFC in his first start for the club.

Cincinnati came out of the Group Stage of the MLS is Back Tournament seeded second in Group E, after a 4-0 loss to Columbus Crew SC on July 11, a 1-0 win against Atlanta United FC on July 16 and a 2-0 win over the New York Red Bulls on July 22.
