
Timbers Set Kickoff Time for Manchester City Exhibition

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Timbers today announced that their international exhibition match against the English Premier League's Manchester City on Saturday, July 17, will kick off at 7 p.m. at Merlo Field on the University of Portland campus; gates open at 6 p.m.
Tickets for the match against Manchester City are available exclusively to Timbers full-season ticket holders. Prorated season tickets are available by calling the Timbers ticket office at (503) 553-5555.
In preparation of the 2010-11 season, Manchester City begins its pre-season tour of the United States with a nine-day training camp in Portland and makes its only appearance on the West Coast in the exhibition against the Timbers. The club features several top international players who competed in the FIFA 2010 World Cup, including defender Kolo Toure (Ivory Coast), midfielders Nigel de Jong (Netherlands), Shaun Wright-Phillips (England) and Gareth Barry (England) and forwards Carlos Tevez (Argentina) and Roque Santa Cruz (Paraguay).
