Quad City Mallards News Release
Moline, IL-The Quad City Mallards announced today that Tim Taylor has joined the organization as Senior Vice President. In the newly created position, Taylor will play an integral role in the day-to-day operations of the Mallards office including ticket sales, group ticket sales, community relations and corporate sponsorship.
"Tim is a well known rising star in professional hockey front office circles. Our organization has just made a huge stride forward with him coming on board with us," said Mike Tatoian, CEO of Victory Sports Group, owners of the Mallards.
United Hockey League President and Chief Executive Officer Richard Brosal agrees with Tatoian's assessment of Taylor. "The addition of Tim Taylor to the Mallards front office staff is the equivalent of a coach signing a 50-goal scorer," said Brosal. "The Quad City area will quickly feel the positive effect he will make for the Mallards."
Taylor comes to the Quad Cities after spending four seasons in the front office of the United Hockey League's Muskegon Fury. He began his hockey career as the Director of Operations for the Fury during the 2001-02 season. Taylor spent the last three seasons as Muskegon's Vice President of Operations.
Taylor began his tenure as a Mallard on Monday. He looks forward to becoming a presence in the local community and promoting the Mallards throughout the Quad City area. "It's an unbelievable ownership group and a great community," said Taylor. "I think we can get back to the glory days, and I want to be a part of that."
During his four years with the Fury, Taylor was a member of an organization that captured three UHL Championships including the 2005 Colonial Cup. "I want to thank Tony Lisman and the staff for four unbelievable years and wish them nothing but the best," said Taylor.
Taylor and his wife, Cindy, will be relocating to the Quad Cities with their sons, Nathan (4) and Nicholas (1).
