Tim Bausher Receives the Royal Treatment

(NASHUA, NH, June 25, 2007) The Nashua Pride today announced that the Can-Am League has sold the contract of Pride pitcher Tim Bausher to Major League Baseball's Kansas City Royals. The Royals will assign him to their AA affiliate, the Wichita Wranglers of the Texas League.

The Pottsville, PA native began the 2007 season as a member of the Nashua Pride's starting rotation. In 6 starts, Bausher went 4-2 with a 3.50 ERA in 36 innings pitched, while striking out 32.

Bausher spent the last two seasons with the Pawtucket Red Sox where he posted a 4-3 record and 4.91 ERA and was recently on the Red Sox 40-man roster. Selected in the 27th round of the 2001 draft, he quickly moved up the ranks being assigned to A ball right out of college and moving to AAA a few years later. In 5 minor league seasons, the 6-foot-4 right hander has thrown 322.1 innings, struck out 311 and walked 139 en route to a 13-25 record and 4.30 ERA. The two-time Red Sox spring training invitee posted a 1.86 ERA and 1-0 record while in Florida.
