LEWISTON, ME - Tomas Kubalik scored two goals to help pace the Victoriaville Tigres to a 5-1 victory over the Lewiston MAINEiacs Friday night at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee.

Tomas Kubalik scored the first of his two goals on the night, when Chris Doyle won the faceoff to himself, and slid the puck across the crease to Kubalik who beat Adrien Lemay giving the Tigres the early 1-0 lead. Joel Champagne made it 2-0 on his 30th goal of the season scored at 13:42.

Matthew Bissonnette put the MAINEiacs on the board with a power play tally in the second. Bissonnette hurled the puck past goaltender Kevin Poulin from the boards, pulling the MAINEiacs within one.

The Tigres controlled the third period of play, scoring three more goals, en route to the 5-1 victory.

The MAINEiacs conclude the homestand on Sunday when they play host to Patrick Roy's Quebec Remparts. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at the Colisee box office, or by dialing (207) 783-2009
