
Tigers Win Another Extra Inning Thriller

For the second straight night, the Connecticut Tigers completed a comeback with an extra inning win against the Aberdeen IronBirds. Connecticut (36-35) is in 2nd place, and only .5 games behind Tri-City in the New York - Penn League Stedler Division with four games left in the season.
The Tigers defeated the IronBirds 3-2 in 10 innings at Dodd Stadium on Wednesday night. Dixon Machado scored the winning run on a PJ Polk single to right field. Machado collided with catcher Joel Polonco on a play at the plate and knocked the ball loose to score.
Connecticut will play their final home game of the season Thursday night at Dodd Stadium. It's Fan Appreciation Night with fireworks after the game.
