Tiger-Cats Unveil 2007 Schedule
February 14, 2007 - Canadian Football League (CFL)
Hamilton Tiger-Cats News Release
Hamilton, Ontario - In conjunction with the Canadian Football League, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats are excited to unveil their 2007 schedule today.
The Black and Gold will begin their quest for the Grey Cup in Calgary when they head west to take on the Stampeders on Saturday, June 30. Following that contest, the Ticats return home to rekindle one of the longest-standing rivalries in professional sports as they battle the Toronto Argonauts in their home opener on Saturday, July 7.
Ticats faithful can catch their first glimpse of the revamped Cats squad when they host the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in an exhibition tilt on Friday, June 22.
Traditions will continue this season, with the Ticats welcoming the Argos to Hamilton on Monday, September 3 for the annual Labour Day Classic, which kicks off at 1:00pm. Two weeks later, on Saturday, September 15, the Canadian Football Hall of Fame game will take place at Ivor Wynne Stadium where the latest inductees will be honoured during the Ticats contest versus the Blue Bombers.
Fans can expect every trip to Ivor Wynne Stadium to bring families and friends together thanks to the fun-filled atmosphere featuring excitement on and off the field at each and every home game.
"With this year's schedule, we listened to our fans who wanted more weekend games after Labour Day," said president Scott Mitchell. "By playing a majority of our games on Friday and Saturday nights, we were able to provide our fans with a very fan-friendly schedule."
The Ticats also announced that the season ticket renewal deadline has been extended to Wednesday, February 28th.
To renew or order your 2007 season tickets, contact the Ticats sales staff at 905-547-CATS (2287). Single game tickets go on-sale to the general public on April 30 at 10:00am.
All Ticats games can be heard on the team's flagship station, AM 900 CHML. The television broadcast component of the 2007 CFL Schedule will be announced in the near future.
