RICHMOND, Ind. --- The Roosters had the best team in the Frontier League last season â they won their second consecutive league championship â and this season should sport the league's cleanest fans â thanks to Tide.
The Roosters and Tide announced today that the Richmond Roosters will host four Laundry Weekends this season at Don McBride Stadium. Every Friday and Saturday homestands will be a Tide Laundry Weekend. â the first June 13th & 14th when the Roosters host the Kenosha (WI) Mammoths.
All paying customers entering Don McBride Stadium on Friday night during a Tide Laundry Weekend, with a Tide proof of purchase, will receive a two-for-one admission. Also, patrons may also bring their laundry and the Roosters equipment staff will wash it for them.
Patrons may reclaim their laundry the following night with the remaining portion of their two-for-one admission stub.
"We're happy to perform such a worthwhile community service like doing laundry for our fans," said Roosters General Manager Deanna Beaman. "Our fans have such busy lifestyles, this gives them an opportunity to catch some ballgames and leave the laundry chores to us.
Beaman also said that Tide would become the Official Detergent of the Roosters for the 2003 season.
Tide Laundry Weekends for the 2003 season are scheduled for: June 13th & 14th as the Roosters take on Kenosha; June 27th & 28th vs Washington (PA); July 18th & 19th vs Chillicothe (OH) and August 8th & 9th playing Gateway (IL).
