
Tickets for NHL Preseason Games to go on sale September 8 at 12 noon

WILKES-BARRE, PA - Tickets for the two Pittsburgh Penguins preseason games scheduled to be played at Wachovia Arena at Casey Plaza later this month will go on sale Wednesday, September 8 at 12 noon at the Wachovia Arena Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations and telephone outlets.
The Penguins, parent club of the American Hockey League's Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, will play host to the Boston Bruins on Saturday, September 25 and the Ottawa Senators on Thursday, Sept. 30. Both games will start at 7:00 PM.
Tickets are priced at $51.25 (Yellow zone), $36.25 (Red zone), $28.25 (Gold zone) and $21.25 (Blue zone).
The Wachovia Arena Box Office is currently open Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (summer hours). However, starting on Tuesday, September 7, the Arena Box Office will be open Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Payment accepted at the Arena Box Office includes cash, American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa. The Wachovia Arena Box Office does not accept telephone orders or personal checks.
Tickets can also be charged over the phone by calling Ticketmaster at (570) 693-4100, (215) 336-2000 and (607) 722-7272 and via the Internet at www.ticketmaster.com.
The Penguins, who are playing a preseason game in Wilkes-Barre for the fifth consecutive season, will open their 2004 preseason schedule against the Bruins on Sept. 25. Following games against the Minnesota Wild (Sept. 26) and Senators (Sept. 28), Pittsburgh will return to northeastern Pennsylvania to host Ottawa in the second game of a "home-and-home" series. The two teams will play two nights earlier in Binghamton, N.Y. at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena, home of Ottawa's AHL affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.
The Penguins are not scheduled to hold a portion of training camp at Wachovia Arena at Casey Plaza this year.
Season tickets for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins' 2004-05 season are now on sale. The Penguins offer full season, 22-game, 12-game and 10 ticket flex book packages. Interested fans can contact the Penguins by visiting the team store in the Arena Hub Plaza or by calling 208-PENS (7367).
Individual game ticket information for preseason and regular season games will be announced next week.
