Oklahoma City Comets News Release
Oklahoma City, Okla. - The Oklahoma City RedHawks ticket office opened for the season today at 9:00 a.m., with tickets for the March 29 exhibition game between the Oklahoma City RedHawks and Houston Astros available for the first time to the general public.
Remaining availability is limited, and seats are expected to sell quickly. For the Astros-RedHawks exhibition, Club seats are $20, Field and Bleacher seats are $16, Third Base Terrace seats are $12 and Lawn seating is $10.
First pitch on March 29 is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., with gates opening at 5:00 p.m., the same time Astros batting practice is scheduled to begin.
Tickets are available for purchase by phone at (405) 218-1000, online at www.okcredhawks.com, or by visiting the RedHawks ticket office on Mickey Mantle Drive in Bricktown. The RedHawks ticket office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
"The RedHawks strive to provide quality family entertainment at affordable prices," RedHawks executive Michael Byrnes said. "You will not find a better price to bring your family out to see a game involving a Major League team."
The Houston Astros and RedHawks agreed to a player development contract in September, the first agreement between the franchises since 1972. The Oklahoma City 89ers were the original Triple-A affiliate of the expansion Houston franchise from 1962 to 1972 (Colt 45s, 1962-64; Astros, 1965-1972).
In addition to the Astros exhibition, RedHawks single game seats and tickets for the Bedlam series and Big 12 Baseball Tournament will also be available through the RedHawks ticket office beginning March 15.
The RedHawks open the 2011 Pacific Coast League season on Thursday April 7 at AutoZone Park in Memphis, Tenn. against the Memphis Redbirds (Cardinals). The 2011 home opener is scheduled for Friday April 15 against the Albuquerque Isotopes (Dodgers) at 7:05 p.m. For RedHawks ticket information, call (405) 218-1000 or visit www.okcredhawks.com.
