
ThunderBolts Rest Up and Regroup

LAKELAND-The ThunderBolts get a second week off due to facility issues in Dayton. The game against the Bulldogs will not be rescheduled resulting in a forfeit, bring the ThunderBolts record to 11-1 on the season. The team is coming off a bye week in their regular schedule. The two week break has allowed the players to get a much needed rest and recover from injuries. The team now sets its focus on the Osceola game, on June 17th at the Silver Spurs Arena at 7pm. Head Coach Teddy Keaton said today "The break has allowed us to rest up, heal, and get ready for our run for the championship."
The organization now sets to recover as they recently terminated General Manager Larry Kiernan, who is currently under investigation for embezzlement of team funds. Quarterback Coach Kenny Johnson has been named the GM for the remainder of the season. Johnson commented saying "Obviously we have taken a loss, but we have a solid ownership and organization, and everything is going as planned. The front office staff has done a great job all year long and despite the distractions, they are working even harder now. We are looking forward to heading over to Osceola and playing football."
