Rio Rancho, NM - The New Mexico Thunderbirds will be hosting their second and final open tryouts of the season from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday Oct. 23 and Sunday Oct. 24, 2010 at V. Sue Cleveland High School in Rio Rancho.

The tryouts are open to the public. Fans are encouraged to attend and watch the T-Birds coaching staff in action, as they put tryout participants through a series of drills and playing situations to evaluate their skills and talent. Basketball players who wish to participate in tryouts may register the day of the event from 8 to 9 a.m. Saturday. Information and application forms are available at www.nmtbirds.com.

V. Sue Cleveland High School will also be serving as the official practice facility of the T-Birds for the 2010-11 Season.

"We are very happy that we can help out the New Mexico Thunderbirds and we look forward to the partnership between V. Sue Cleveland High School and the Thunderbirds moving forward," Cleveland High School Athletic Coordinator Larry Chavez said.
