Thunderbirds to Hold Free Clinic on August 22

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., August 12, 2009 - The Albuquerque Thunderbirds, in conjunction with the Horn Family YMCA, will hold a free basketball clinic on August 22. The camp will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Thunderbirds head coach John Coffino will lead the kids through drills during the 90 minute session.
"The Thunderbirds franchise considers the local community a valuable member of its extended family, and the opportunity to contribute to the community through youth basketball clinics is an essential component of the team's overall mission," said Coffino.
The clinic will be open to children, ages 5-14. The first 75 participants to sign up will receive a free drawstring backpack and water bottle.
The Horn Family YMCA is located at 4901 Indian School Rd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. To register for the event, please call (505) 265-6971. All registrants must pre-register with the Horn Family YMCA by Thursday, August 20.
