HALIFAX, NS - The Halifax Thunderbirds announced today that the team has signed defender Keaton Brown to a one-year contract.
"I'm excited to have the opportunity to play in my home in front of the people who watched my lacrosse career grow. I am ready to make an impact," Brown said.
Brown, 22, returns to the Thunderbirds after being at training camp with the organization last year. He was drafted by Halifax in the sixth round (101st overall) of the 2022 NLL Draft.
The Dartmouth product spent part of his junior career playing at home for the Dartmouth Bandits before making the move to Ontario and the Orangeville Northmen.
Brown spent two seasons playing for the Jr. B Northmen. At 6-foot-2, 210 pounds, he had 36 points (17G, 19A) in 39 regular season games and four points (2G, 2A) in 10 postseason contests.
This summer, Brown made the trip out West to the WLA to play for the Coquitlam Adanacs. Appearing in eight games, he registered an assist while taking just four minutes in penalties.
