Thunderbirds Begin the Sale of Individual Game Tickets

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., October 25, 2005 - The Albuquerque Thunderbirds will begin the sale of individual game tickets on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at 10 a.m. The sale offers basketball fans their first opportunity to purchase a single game ticket for the Thunderbirds inaugural 2005-06 season.
"With more than half of the available seats starting below $10, single game ticket prices provide a great opportunity for basketball fans to come and see future NBA stars at Tingley Coliseum," said team president Billy Widner. "We are excited that our home opener is only 31 days away and are looking forward to seeing everyone come out and support the team."
Starting tomorrow Thunderbirds single game tickets will be available at all Ticketmaster outlets including Smith's Food and Drug Centers, Foley's Coronado, Wherehouse Music, and For Your Entertainment stores. Tickets can also be purchased online at ticketmaster.com, abqtbirds.com and NBA.com. To charge tickets by phone, call (505) 883-7800.
Families looking for a great night out can choose from an exciting array of promotions and giveaways geared toward family entertainment, including the McDonald's Sunday Family Fun Day presented by the Albuquerque Journal that includes four (4) tickets, four (4) McDonald's Value Meals, and a two-week subscription to the Albuquerque Journal. Prices start at $29.
Individual ticket prices start as low as $9 per game. Season, group, and premium seating tickets are available by calling the Thunderbirds ticket office at (505) 265-DUNK and start as low as $184 for the entire 23-game home schedule.
The Thunderbirds home opener is Friday, Nov. 25 against the Tulsa 66ers, with tip off at 7 p.m. at Tingley Coliseum. The regular season begins with back-to-back outings against the 66ers in Tulsa on Nov. 18-19.
