Thunderbirds announce name of cheer and dance team

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., October 31 - The Albuquerque Thunderbirds will introduce the members of their cheer and dance team, "The Storm Chasers", at the Juan Tabo location of Defined Fitness on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 5pm. The first 100 guests at the appearance will receive a full-color autograph card. The Storm Chasers, presented by Defined Fitness, will perform during home games at Tingley Coliseum and participate in various community service activities scheduled throughout the year. The Storm Chasers are comprised of 14 dynamic women and are led by former Denver Nugget dancer, Leslie Chant.

"The Albuquerque Thunderbirds are proud to team up with Defined Fitness to present a first-class cheer and dance squad, The Storm Chasers. This outstanding group of young ladies will be great ambassadors for the Thunderbirds in the community and will provide yet another reason for people to attend our games. Come meet them and get their autographs on Wednesday." said Team President, Billy Widner.

Defined Fitness is the official gym of the Storm Chasers. Undoubtedly New Mexico's premier heath club facility, Defined Fitness has four locations throughout the area with over 100,000 square feet of workout space. Information about locations or membership packages is available at www.defined.com.

The Thunderbirds 2005-06 home-opener is Friday, Nov. 25 against the Tulsa 66ers. Tip off is set for 7 p.m. at Tingley Coliseum. The regular season begins with back-to-back outings against the Tulsa 66ers on Nov. 18-19.
