Halifax Thunderbirds News Release
(HALIFAX, NS) - The Halifax Thunderbirds today announced that the team acquired a 2026 First-Round Entry Draft Selection from the Toronto Rock in exchange for Chris Boushy.
Boushy, 26, spent parts of four seasons as a member of the Thunderbirds' organization. He was originally drafted by the Saskatchewan Rush in the third round (31st overall) of the 2017 NLL Draft.
"It's hard to see Chris go. He's a great player and a great person. We will miss him and wish him all the best in Toronto," Thunderbirds Assistant General Manager Scott Campbell said.
Following the completion of the trade, the Thunderbirds now hold a first-round pick in 2024, as well as the additional first-rounders in both 2025 and 2026 (New York, Toronto).
