Thunder Training Camp Report: February 27

Portland Thunder News Release
PORTLAND, OR - In Day 5 of Thunder training camp, the veteran-laden defense continued to push the offense to keep up with them.
"I felt like this was the first time our defensive backs in one-on-one completely dominated the wideouts," said Head Coach Matthew Sauk. "It had nothing to do with throws, timing, or anything. They just came out and played well."
The snap issues that pervaded Tuesday's practice in front of the media have all but been eliminated, but the offense continues to look to improve - the quarterbacks in particular are under pressure to improve as they learn to check passes down, read AFL coverages properly, and get familiar with the play book.
Thunder Training Camp practices will continue to be open to the public and the media each day from 12-2 p.m. through Friday, Feb. 28. Practices from March 3-8 will be open as well.
The Portland Thunder will kick off its inaugural season at the Moda Center on Monday, March 17th when they take on the San Jose SaberCats. Season tickets are available for purchase starting as low as $99 by calling 503-773-4AFL or by visiting www.portlandthunder.com.
