Thunder single game tickets go on sale Tuesday

ST. PAUL, Minn. (Monday, April 25, 2005) – The Thunder announced today that single game tickets for the 2005 regular season go on sale this Tuesday, April 26 at 9 a.m. Fans can either purchase tickets online at www.mnthunder.com, or by calling 651-917-TEAM.

The Thunder opens it home season in the Metrodome against the Portland Timbers on May 7 and at James Griffin Stadium in St. Paul against the Vancouver Whitecaps on May 29. This will be the third season the Thunder has opened its season in the Metrodome. It also marks the second season of "Soccer in the City"—the tagline the Thunder received after moving its home games to James Griffin Stadium located at I-94 & Lexington Parkway in St. Paul.

Game day ticket prices range anywhere from $8 for a youth general admission ticket up to $20 for a field reserved ticket.

2. GAMEWORKS SEASON TICKET HOLDER PARTY ANNOUNCED

The Thunder has teamed up with GameWorks in downtown Minneapolis to offer a party for all season ticket holders and their families on Friday, May 6 from 6-9 p.m. All season ticket holders will receive an invitation to the event in the mail this week. Present the invitation at GameWorks and enjoy half price food, beverages, and games from 6-8 p.m. Thunder players will be on hand to interact with fans and children.

3. THUNDER RETURNS FROM OMAHA UNDEFEATED

The Thunder returned home from its preseason trip to Creighton University in Omaha, Neb. with four wins and a tie for the week. The Thunder looked solid in the defense, only giving up two goals in five games. However the Thunder's talented midfield wore teams down and created the tempo of the games.

4. VOLUNTEER POSITIONS OPEN

The Minnesota Thunder still has several volunteer positions available for any fans interested in becoming part of the Thunder staff. Volunteers are very valuable to the Thunder organization and will assist the front office staff with responsibilities both in the office and at the stadium.

In office volunteers will have responsibilities including ticket sales, camp organization, and flyer distribution. The game day volunteers will be looked upon to help the game nights run smoothly by assisting with ushering, ticket taking, parking, and fan hospitality.
