
Thunder Scores Five to Upend Chil

St. Charles, Mo. - Wichita jumped out to a 2-0 first period lead and Matt Robinson racked up four assists for the Thunder as the Chill lost by a final for 5-1.
Ian Lowe scored his first of two goals on the night at the 12:07 mark and 35 seconds later it was 2-0 when Andrew Martins tallied his fourth goal. St. Charles (6-13-4) closed within a goal on Dan Weiss's third of the season with Makway setting him up from behind the net. Nicklas Lindberg picked up the secondary assists, his sixth.
Both teams combined for just 13 shots on goal in the second period with Wichita (7-13-4) picking up the second of the night from Lowe but the Chill continued to fight their way to the net. Taylor Nelson was up to the challenge for the Thunder after the night off last night.
Wichita added a pair of goals in the third period, one from Jon Booras and the other from Dustin Donaghy to pull away from St. Charles.
The Chill is back on the ice Wednesday at 7:05 against the Quad City Mallards. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on the concourse to meet and take pictures with in "Santa's Corner".
