Thunder Preseason Set Against Highway 99 Rivals

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder will make three trips down Highway 99 to take on the Fresno Falcons and Bakersfield Condors in preseason play.

"These games will give us a chance to get a feel for how the team is coming together," said Thunder Head Coach Chris Cichocki. "Even though they don't count in the standings, they can still be very valuable because they give us a pretty good picture of how the guys are starting gel."

The exhibition schedule begins with a game against the Falcons on Wednesday, October 12, at 7:30 p.m. Stockton will play Fresno at the Falcons practice facility, the Gateway Ice Center, located at 2473 N. Marks Avenue in Fresno. Tickets are $5 for general admission seating.

The next day, the Thunder will travel further south to Bakersfield to face the Condors for an early afternoon game at the Bakersfield Ice Sports Center. The 1 p.m. game is closed to the public.

The last exhibition game scheduled for the Thunder will be on Sunday, October 16, in Fresno. This game will also be at the Gateway Ice Center and tickets are $5 for general admission seating. The start time for the game is set for 5 p.m.

The Thunder will open the 2005-2006 regular season on October 22, on the road in Fresno at the Save Mart Center. The team's first home game in Stockton will be on December 3, at the Stockton Arena.
