Thunder Partners with Salvation Army to Ring the Bell

Wichita, KS- The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators and powered by Toyota, will show its support for community members in need by helping ring bells at Salvation Army red kettles on Tuesday, December 13th.

Thunder players will be located at the red kettles at Dillons, located at 21st and Maize Rd. from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The players and Lightning Dance Girls will be happy to sign their autographs for fans during these times.

"Donations to the red kettles help us meet the immediate needs of families and individuals during the holidays and also fund programs all year long. Last year, The Salvation Army touched the lives of nearly 60,000 individuals in the Wichita community," said Major Joseph Wheeler, Wichita City Commander with The Salvation Army.

"We thank the Wichita Thunder for supporting us at the red kettles," Wheeler continued. "We also appreciate the support from the businesses that allow us to have our red kettles at their locations."
