Stockton Thunder News Release
STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder marketing campaign, "Rated E For Excitement," provided fans an excitement-filled 2007-08 season that featured "Thunder Goes Pink II," the ECHL All-Star Game and Skills Competition, march to the playoffs and the third straight ECHL attendance title. All that remains to illustrate the season's best is to ask "the envelope, please."
The Thunder announced that fans can participate in naming the season's best games, events and other highlights to the 2007-08 campaign in an end-of-season "Ice Oscars" awards presentation, which will be hosted exclusively online via the Thunder's official website, www.stocktonthunder.com.
Taking a cinematic-theme that aligns with the famed "Academy Awards" presentation, fans can vote for their favorite in each category, with voting beginning on Monday, May 5:
* Best Picture (Top Game of the Year):
* Best Score: (Favorite Song at a Thunder game)
* Best Costume Design (Favorite specialty jersey)
* Favorite Villain (Opposing player)
* Season (lifetime) achievement award (Favorite Promotion)
