
Inferno Face Elimination on Friday Night

North Charleston, S.C. (April 29, 2008) - The South Carolina Stingrays continued their dominate play as they defeated the Columbia Inferno 5-2.
The Stingrays went up 2-0 in the first period with a shorthanded goal by A. Gordon and power play goal by Marty Guerin. Columbia came back as Reid Cashman scored at 7:38 of the second period with help from Brad Ralph and Joel Hanson. At 12:13, Mac Faulkner scored on the power play with assists to Daniel Sparre and Steve McJannet.
South Carolina scored three unanswered goals in the third period as Guerin netted a hat trick for the Stingrays. South Carolina more than double Columbia's shots on goal as they had 40 to the 17 shots for the Inferno.
The Inferno face elimination as the Stingrays are up 2-0 in the best of five South Division Finals series. Game three will be played on Friday, May 2 at 7:05pm at the Carolina Coliseum. Tickets are available by calling 251-2222 or online at www.columbiainferno.com.
