Daytona Beach Thunder News Release

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Fans of the Daytona Beach Thunder can vote on the team's 2006 Most Valuable Player and win the same perks of the top vote getter in a cool promotion sponsored by Ocean Walk Shoppes. Voting for the 2006 Ocean Walk Shoppes Thunder MVP begins Thursday, June 8 and runs through Friday, June 15 on the team's official web site located at http://www.dbthunder.net And since this is Florida, you can stuff the ballot box by voting one time per day since you have a chance to win stuff. Along with the vote, fans will be asked to jot down a sentence or two expounding on their vote. One lucky fan who voted for the winner will receive the same prize pack presented to the Thunder player. "We value the football knowledge of our fans, and allowing them to select our MVP shows how much appreciated their support in our inaugural season,'' said Thunder Director of Sales and Marketing Antone Smothers. "We also appreciate everything Ocean Walk Shoppes has done for us as well and are thrilled that they are supporting this project in addition to providing a first-class venue for our pre-game parties.
