Thunder Assigned Two Players

BOARDMAN, Ohio - The Mahoning Valley Thunder announced today the assignment OL/DL Mike Sacco by the arenafootball2 League Office. The league also assigned K Nicholas Terracina to the Thunder on February 22, 2007.

Sacco (pronounced SOCK-oh) enters his first season with the Thunder and first in af2. At 6'8, 340 lbs, the former University of Toledo Rocket offensive lineman is a native of Sewickley, PA and prepped at Quaker Valley H.S. In high school, Sacco ranked 40th among lineman in the eastern part of the country, according to the Eastern Football Journal. He lettered twice in football, basketball and once in track.

Terracina was assigned to the Thunder by the arenafootball2 league office on February 22, 2007. A former YSU kicker, the 5'8, 180 lbs earned two varsity letters with the Penguins. In his two seasons, Terracina was named the Paul McFadden/Jeff Wilkins Specialist of the Year twice, Gateway Honorable Mention and to the Newcomer Team in 2003, and Gateway All-Academic Honorable Mention in 2004.

The 2007 season will be Terracina's first in the af2 and first with the Thunder.
