Clearwater Threshers News Release

Clearwater, FL- The Clearwater Threshers announce their sixth annual Independence Day Fireworks Celebration at Bright House Field. The post-game fireworks show is scheduled for Friday, July 3rd following the Threshers versus Dunedin Blue Jays game.

This year's show features a 16-minute Fireworks and Video presentation, titled "A Tribute to America". The fireworks will commence immediately after the conclusion of the game, and "will be a little different, with some unique fireworks throughout the show," commented Threshers General Manager John Timberlake.

Pre-game activities include the USSOCOM Para-Commandos parachuting with the first pitch, clowns and face painting in the Kids Zone.

Fridays are St. Petersburg Times Family Night at Bright House Field. For $25 fans receive 4 Field Box seats, 4 Hot dogs, 4 Sodas, and 4 Bags of chips. This special offer must be purchased in person at the box office with the coupon or portion of the St. Petersburg Times newspaper. Quantities are limited.

Record attendance has been recorded each of the past two years at the July 3rd game including 9,090 last season. The Threshers expect the same this year and recommend purchasing and picking up tickets in advance to avoid the lines.
