Kyle Altman scored his first goal of the season in the 21st minute, but it was all downhill from there for the Stars as the league-leading Puerto Rico Islanders scored three unanswered goals in a 3-1 defeat of the NSC Minnesota Stars. The Stars fall to 1-1-1 and end a three-game road trip to open the season with four of a possible nine points. Altman scored in the 21st minute for the Stars off an assist from Jeff Cosgriff, but the Islanders stormed back with goals from Nicolas Addlery and two goals from Jonathan Fana, who leads the North American Soccer League with four goals. The Islanders now top the NASL table with a 3-0-0 record and nine points.
