
Three Players Added to 2006 U.S. Women's Select Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - USA Hockey today announced the addition of three players to the 2006 U.S. Women's Select Team that will compete in the Four Nations Cup from Nov. 7-12 in Kitchener, Ont. The trio joins the 19 players previously named to the roster. Team USA plays its first game of the tournament against Canada on Tuesday (Nov. 7) at 7:30 EST.
The players joining Team USA are Four Nations Cup veterans Winny Brodt (Roseville, Minn.) and Rush Zimmerman (Grosse Pointe, Mich.). Brodt, a defenseman, previously played in the tournament in 1998, 2000, 2002 and 2005, while Zimmerman, a forward, was a member of the 2005 U.S. Women's Select Team. Rounding out the 22-player roster is defenseman Rachael Drazan (Orono, Minn.), who will be making her first appearance on a senior team after having played on two U.S. Under-22 Select teams.
Following its game against Canada, the United States will play two additional round-round games against Finland (Nov. 8) and Sweden (Nov. 10) before the tournament concludes with the medal games on Nov. 11.
