Three New Alouettes: Roach, Thomas And Thompson

Montreal, Jan. 20, 2009 - Montreal Alouettes Vice President and General Manager Jim Popp is pleased to announce the following three players have been invited to training camp:

Quarterback Brad Roach (6'6'', 245 lbs.) left Catawba College as the Indians' career passing yards average leader at 212.8 yards per game and was second with 7,874 passing yards and 62 touchdown passes. Named the SAC's best offensive player in 2007, he was also selected to the SAC and the AFCA All-Star teams that same year. The 23-year-old quarterback attended the Baltimore Ravens' training camp in 2008.

Marco Thomas (5'11'', 190 lbs.) had a stint with the Alouettes in 2008, joining the team's practice roster for one game. The Western Illinois wide receiver has attended NFL camps with the New York Jets, San Diego Chargers, Oakland Raiders and New York Giants. He is 25.

Defensive tackle Josh Thompson (6', 300 lbs.) also comes with NFL experience, as he attended training camp with the St. Louis Rams in 2008. In his last year of college in 2007, he played 13 games, leading the Auburn Tigers with 67 tackles. He is 23.
