Three Homers Not Enough

For the second time this season, the Williamsport Crosscutters have hit three home runs in a single game, and for the second time they find themselves on the losing side.

Ben Aklinski got the Cutters first home run, sending a Jason Vargas offering over the left field wall, just inside the foul pole. He finished the night 2 for 4 with a home run and a single, picking up his 11th RBI.

Jonathan Guzman drilled a no-doubter off of Vargas for the Cutters second home run. It was Guzman's 2nd home run of the season and gave him his 10th RBI of the season.

Brayan Gonzalez hit his first home run of the season, sending a Kevin Smith offering over the wall in left- center, giving the Cutters their third home run of the night. For Gonzalez, it was his team-leading 16th RBI.

Jose Jimenz entered in the bottom of the 7th inning with two outs and the bases loaded, getting Jose Brizuela to pop out down the left field line. Unfortunately, the Cyclones plated two runs against Jimenez, with two outs in the bottom of the 8th , handing the reliever his first loss.
