Three Games in Four Nights

After two games in Portland, the Chiefs will host the Winter Hawks for the first time this year on Wednesday, October 15th. This season, the Chiefs are again teaming up with TicketsWest and 105.7 The Peak to hand out a special collector's series Chiefs player magnet (featuring a different player) to the first 1,000 fans through the gates and all full season ticket holders in attendance.

Spokane is 2-0 on the season against Portland, outscoring the Winter Hawks 9-2 in the process. Ryan Letts scored two goals last Friday at Portland in a 6-2 win and Dustin Tokarski stopped 40 shots on September 20th in their first match-up of the year, a 3- 0 Spokane win. Last season, the Chiefs were 8-0-0-1 versus Portland, dropping the final game of the regular season, March 16th, in a 3-2 shootout. Spokane scored a season high nine goals in a 9-1 win on October 28th at Portland. Drayson Bowman led all scorers in the series with six goals and 15 points while Mitch Wahl had seven goals and 13 points in seven games.

RING CEREMONY FRIDAY

KAMLOOPS VISITS FOR FIRST TIME

In another celebration of last year's Memorial Cup Championship, the Spokane Chiefs will present championship rings to members of the 2008 team in a pre-game ceremony on Friday, October 17th when the Kamloops Blazers visit. Listen to 95.3 KPND and K102 for more information.

Memorial Cup Championship rings will also be on display at the front entrance with replica key-chain rings on sale.

Spokane will play their second of four meetings on the year versus the Blazers. The Chiefs scored a season high six goals on September 30th in their first match- up of the year in Kamloops. Drayson Bowman scored two goals and two assists as the Chiefs outshot the Blazers 35-32. Spokane was scoreless in their only one power play chance and was 5-7 on the penalty kill. The Chiefs were 3-1 on against Kamloops last year, including wins in their last three games of the year. Mitch Wahl had five assists in four games and Tyler Johnson had 1-3-4.

SATURDAY AT TRI-CITY ON COMCAST CHANNEL 78

Saturday night's Chiefs game at Tri-City will be aired live in Spokane on Comcast channel 78 beginning at 7:00.

The game will be the first time that Spokane has traveled to Kennewick since last year's game seven of the Western Conference Championship series. Spokane earned a 4-1 win in the game and advanced to the WHL Finals, eventually winning the Ed Chynoweth Cup as champions of the league, and the Memorial Cup.

AMERICAN FAMILY INSURANCE SUITE-STAKES

At nine games this year, the Chiefs and American Family Insurance will team up for a one-of-a-kind giveaway, the American Family Insurance Suite-Stakes. Entrants will have the chance to win access to the Chiefs Executive Suite on the regular season finale, Friday, March 13th versus the Tri-City Americans.

Suites for the remainder of the regular season are sold out, making the American Family Insurance Suite- Stakes the best and last opportunity to own one for a Chiefs game.

Beginning this Friday night when the Chiefs host the Kamloops Blazers, American Family Insurance will be on hand to sign up fans for the chance to win a signed stick from the 2008 Memorial Cup Champion Spokane Chiefs. A different autographed piece of memorabilia will be available each night of the American Family Insurance Suite-Stakes promotion.

Each entry throughout the season will also be eligible to win the grand prize, 15 tickets to the Spokane Chiefs Executive Suite and a $250 catering allowance for the March 13th game. The suite also includes; wait staff service, parking passes to the game, a private entrance, private restroom and televisions inside the suite.

Fans can sign up in the main lobby of the Spokane Arena on Friday night at the American Family Insurance display.
