OKLAHOMA CITY - OKC Energy FC has named defender Michael Thomas captain for the 2015 season. Midfielder Gareth Evans was named the team's vice-captain. The announcements come prior to Energy FC's season opener on March 28 at Tulsa.

"We are very happy to have both these players back," said Energy FC Head Coach Jimmy Nielsen. "They are great leaders, both on and off the field. We expect their experience to flow through the roster and help develop our younger players."

Thomas scored five goals for Energy FC during its inaugural season. His three assists tied him for second on the team with 13 points. Evans was named to the USL second team after anchoring Energy FC's back line for the entire season.

Thomas served as team captain during the team's inaugural season in 2014 and Evans was vice-captain. Evans served as captain for the final five matches of the season after Thomas went down due to injury.
