St. Louis Steamers News Release


Steamers fans will have the opportunity to join their favorite team on the road by signing up for the St. Louis Steamers Bus Trip to Kansas City. The package includes transportation, hotel, game and a party afterward, all for only $125! The bus will leave from St. Charles on the morning of March 19th and return on Sunday morning. Upcoming Games:
The St. Louis Steamers, along with the other teams in the MISL, will have an extended break until the 19th of March.

The St. Louis Steamers will resume play in Kansas City on March 19th against the KC Comets. All the action can be seen live on WB11 at 7:00 p.m., so tune in and cheer on your St. Louis Steamers! If you can't watch the game, make sure to listen to the game on KFNS Fans 590 am.

The St. Louis Steamers will travel to Milwaukee on Sunday, March 20th for a 1:05 pm kickoff against the Wave.

The Steamers return home for back-to-back games at Savvis Center on March 25th and 26th. On Friday, the St. Louis Steamers will take on the Chicago Storm at 7:35p.m.

On Saturday, the Steamers will face the Kansas City Comets at Savvis Center at 7:05p.m. The game will be broadcast on WB11 at 7:00p.m. The Steamers will also be offering $2 Margaritas at the 14th and Clark Bar for all those of age!

St. Louis Steamers Summer Camp Programs:
If you want to learn from the pros, sign up for the St. Louis Steamers Summer Soccer Camps! Steamers Head Coach Daryl Doran will direct the camps with all of your favorite players. Each camper receives a camp t-shirt, soccer ball and Steamers goody bag. Locations are spread throughout St. Louis and Illinois. For more information contact the Steamers at 314-613-1880.

Three lucky SIUE students in attendance January 21st will be selected to participate in the halftime "Cash Machine" promotion. The three participants will get 30 seconds in a cash machine to keep as much as they can collect. There will also be drink specials January 21st for all SIUE students 21 and older.

Steamers in the News:
Steamers players Matt Caution and Lindsay Kennedy, along with owner Michael Hetelson, appeared on MSNBC last week. They discussed the issue of gender in sports; both players commented that they wanted nothing but the best product on the field and for their team.

Thursday, March 3rd, the Steamers will battle the Milwaukee Wave at a special 11:05 am start at Savvis Center. Local schools are invited to attend the game at 10:00 am and visit educational booths in the concourse. Student tickets are $8.00. If your school is interested, please call Bob Neu at 314-613-1883.

Current Appearances:
The St. Louis Steamers will be appearing every Wednesday at House of Rock, located in Ronnie's Plaza off of South Lindbergh. Players will begin signing autographs and meeting fans at 8:30p.m.
The Steamers will be visiting Highland Primary, Rockport Heights Elementary and Lonedell Elementary this week discussing the dangers of tobacco use and the importance of staying active.
Steamers players will be at the Doubletree Hotel in Chesterfield on Saturday signing autographs for the Cabin Fever retreat sponsored by St. Louis Children's Hospital.
