Rio Grande Valley Dorados News Release
Hidalgo, Texas --- One day removed from announcing that their local tryout camp had been moved to Alamo Middle School due to field work at PSJA Stadium, the Rio Grande Valley Dorados got word that PSJA Stadium will be available after all. As such, the team will hold its local open tryout this Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at PSJA Stadium.
"We apologize for any confusion," said Dorados General Manager Grant Buckborough. "We'd like to thank the PSJA board for finding a way for us to conduct business at PSJA Stadium."
Players will participate in various drills in addition to being timed in the 40 and short shuttle. There will also be a broad jump measurement. Players should dress appropriately for the tryout, including proper footwear for PSJA's field turf; Dorados T-shirts will be provided. The $40 pre-registration fee ($50 day-of, cash only day-of) will cover the facility fee.
For more information or to pre-register contact the Dorados office at 956-843-5653.
The Dorados kick off 2007 on the road at Corpus Christi on April 7, and open up the home half of the season vs. Laredo on April 14. Games at Obra Homes Field inside Dodge Arena begin at 7:30 p.m.
Dorados season tickets are available now by calling 956-843-7825 or visit doradosfootball.com.
