February 26, 2024 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Sporting Kansas City News Release
The Victory Project has partnered with Tiptap, an innovative social impact platform, to enhance touchless giving with the introduction of donation devices at Children's Mercy Park during the 2024 Major League Soccer season as a new opportunity for Sporting Kansas City fans to support the club's philanthropic foundation.
"We are thrilled to work with Tiptap to transform our approach to donation collections inside Children's Mercy Park and empower fans to engage with The Victory Project through a user-friendly solution that is simple and secure," said The Victory Project Executive Director Lexie Clark. "Integrating charitable giving in the stadium with tap-and-go functionality will enable The Victory Project to make an even bigger difference within our local community."
The availability of Tiptap technology in the Budweiser Brew House and premium tower at Children's Mercy Park, a cashless venue since 2021, will provide fans with the option to directly donate to The Victory Project during Sporting Kansas City home matches.
Sporting Kansas City established The Victory Project in 2013 to help children through all of life's challenges by uniting players, staff, fans and partners across the region. The Victory Project launched Emerging Sports Leaders Scholarships as well as Soccer Assist Grants in 2022 as part of the Soccer For All Kids pillar and The Victory Project celebrated 10 years of community impact in 2023 with numerous impactful initiatives.
This year, The Victory Project will host the foundation's two flagship events with the Kicks N Fits Victory Gala at Children's Mercy Park on August 9, 2024 and the Sporting Invitational charity golf tournament at Loch Lloyd Country Club on October 14, 2024.
Trusted by hundreds of organizations - including many of the biggest charities and non-profits in North America - Tiptap is committed to ensuring the highest standards of security and privacy throughout the donation process. Donors can be confident that their financial information is protected and their contributions can be made through a variety of methods, including credit cards, debit cards and digital wallets like Google Pay and Apple Pay on mobile phones and smartwatches.
