Following a 1-1 draw in the club's season opener in Houston, Sporting Kansas City will host the Philadelphia Union in the club's highly anticipated home opener at 7:30 p.m. CT on Saturday at Children's Mercy Park.
Tickets are available online at SeatGeek, including the Home Opener Pack and Sporting U Pass. The cross-conference clash will stream free via MLS Season Pass on Apple TV and will air locally on Sports Radio 810 WHB and LA Grande 1340 AM. Pub partners in the Sporting Pub Network will also show all of the action.
Sporting KC also announced today the launch of the club's Home Opener Week campaign for fans to take advantage of exclusive offers from local partners ahead of SKCvPHI by wearing Sporting gear or using the phrase "Go Sporting" at No Other Pub, The Brooksider, Jefferson's (Lenexa location), Bar K, Maloney's, Z's Pub, Guy's Deli, The Blue Line, Donutology, Westport Ale House, ITAP (Crossroads and Lee's Summit locations), SportingStyle.com and Parisi (Union Station and Overland Park locations).
Fans can take advantage of free shipping on orders at MLSstore.com until 10:59 p.m. CT on Tuesday with the code MLSFS (exclusions apply), including Sporting Kansas City's new secondary jersey in men's, women's and youth sizes.
Fans will also be able to purchase CONMEBOL Copa America USA 2024 tickets for the Group Stage, Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Third Place Match starting on Wednesday at 10 a.m. local time for each stadium through CopaAmerica.com. Children's Mercy Park will host a Copa America group stage match on June 25 and the match-up will feature two-time Copa America champions Peru facing the winner between Canada and Trinidad & Tobago, who meet on March 23 with a berth in Copa America on the line.
No Other Pub (1370 Grand Blvd.) in the Kansas City Power and Light District will host a happy hour for Sporting KC fans from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday with food and drink specials -- including Season Ticket Member specials -- as well as enter-to-win giveaways for attendees. No Other Pub features bowling lanes, indoor golf simulators, a video gaming lounge, shuffleboard, foosball, cornhole, ping pong, shufflepuck, darts, beer pong and billiards for guests.
On Friday, Sporting KC is hosting free pick-up soccer games for local players ages 18 and older from 6-8 p.m. at The Soccer Lot (2525 Jefferson St.) in Kansas City, Missouri. Click here to RSVP. SKC Pickup Soccer Club is a community initiative focused on providing fans access to unique pickup soccer opportunities across the Kansas City area throughout the year.
Sporting Kansas City will host a Season Ticket Member Night Before Party from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Friday at Chicken N Pickle (5901 W. 135th St.) in Overland Park, Kansas. Lite bites will be offered at the event along with drink specials. Season Ticket Members can pick up their 2024 scarf before the home opener and take advantage of the first opportunity of the season to "Paint The Wall" by signing their name on a commemorative panel that will be displayed at Children's Mercy Park.
Friday is the deadline for individuals ages 18 and over to register to participate in the Sporting Adult Soccer League with coed, open and over 30 divisions available for players of all skill levels at Central Bank Sporting Complex in Kansas City, Missouri or Compass Minerals Sporting Fields in Kansas City, Kansas. Leagues feature eight matches in eight weeks in an 8v8 format beginning March 11 and all players who register by March 1 will receive a free ticket to SKCvVAN on May 29 at Children's Mercy Park.
A new episode of The Sporting KC Show will air from 7-8 p.m. CT this Friday on Sports Radio 810 WHB with co-hosts Jon Kempin and Blake Aerni previewing Sporting Kansas City's home opener. The Sporting KC Show Podcast is available on Spotify, iTunes and SportingKC.com, giving supporters a weekly destination to catch up on club storylines, player achievements, guest interviews and more.
After a 5-2 win over UMKC on Saturday, Sporting KC II will continue the club's 2024 preseason presented by Central Bank at 1 p.m. CT this Saturday with an exhibition match against USL Championship side FC Tulsa in Wichita, Kansas. Coming off an appearance in the Western Conference Quarterfinals a season ago, Sporting KC II will kick off this year's MLS NEXT Pro season on March 17.
The Sporting KC Academy will resume the 2023-24 MLS NEXT campaign this weekend. The U-14s will kick off a tripleheader on Saturday at Swope Soccer Village (6310 Lewis Rd.) in Kansas City, Missouri with a 9 a.m. match-up against the Colorado Rapids. The U-17s will follow at 11 a.m. against Minnesota United before the U-15s wrap up the day against Minnesota United at 1 p.m. On Sunday, the U-17s will be back in action against the Houston Dynamo at 10 a.m. followed by the U-15s with the fifth and final MLS NEXT match of the weekend at Swope Soccer Village with a noon finale versus the Houston Dynamo.
