"The Truth" returns

WHEELING, WV – The Ohio Valley Greyhounds of the United Indoor Football Association are proud to announce the return of Eddie Bynes to the defensive line.

Bynes (6-1, 285) spent last season as a member of the Atlantic City Cardsharks, playing under new Greyhounds Head Coach Mike Siani. Despite playing in just eight games during the regular season, Eddie was named an Atlantic East All-Star, collecting a team-leading 9.5 sacks (fifth in the league). Eddie also a team-leading 16 tackles for loss, one blocked kick, and one safety. On July 3rd of last year, Eddie took down Carolina's quarterback five times in one game.

The New Jersey-native had his breakout season in 2003 with the Greyhounds, recording an astounding 37 tackles for loss and 23 sacks, a league record. He was also third on the team in tackles with 68. For his efforts, "The Truth" was named the league's defensive MVP.

Eddie broke into the professional ring in 2002 with the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Pioneers of AF2. Bynes proved to be an upstart lineman for the Pioneers, being named "Ironman of the Game" three times during the season.

Bynes attended Lackawanna College, setting a school record with 32 sacks and earning all-conference accolades.
