Dan Donahue went 2-2, sparking the Pittsfield Suns (11-10) to a 6-5 victory over the Torrington Titans (12-11) on Saturday at Wahconah Park.
He singled in the third and fifth innings.
Alex Lagos pitched lights out for the Pittsfield Suns. Lagos gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one during his 2 2/3 innings of work.
Jack St. Clair racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Torrington Titans. He singled in the third inning and homered in the fifth inning.
Willy Yahn brought the heat against the Pittsfield Suns during his outing. The Pittsfield Suns managed just one hit off of Yahn, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his 2 2/3 innings of work.
Bradley Wilpon improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Pittsfield Suns. He allowed four runs over five innings. He struck out two, walked three and surrendered seven hits.
Brett Susi was charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out two.
