(Summerside, PE) The STORM is getting ready for its second season in the National Basketball League of Canada. Season tickets have been on sale for about two weeks and sales are running well ahead of last season. Training camp is just around the corner and the team's only home exhibition game, the Rogers Slam Dunk Charity Game, is scheduled for October 26th with the league home opener set for Friday November 2nd.

The STORM is now accepting volunteer forms from fans who wish to join the Storm Volunteer Team. Volunteers are needed to help out in hospitality, the STORM Centre Store, Fan Services, Information Services, as drivers, and many other areas within the organization.

To become a member of the STORM Volunteer Team fans can visit the STORM website at www.stormbasketball.ca and fill out a Storm Volunteer form or visit the Storm Centre at Credit Union Place.

The STORM, the Island's Professional Basketball franchise, offers season, corporate and group ticket options, offering Prince Edward Islanders another great chance to see pro sports at very affordable pricing.

Eight teams make up two divisions of the NBL this season with the expansion Windsor Express joining the Central Division with the London Lightning (last year's Champions), the Oshawa Power, and the Kebs, who have moved from Quebec City to Laval, Quebec. The Atlantic division is made up of the STORM, Halifax Rainmen, Saint John Mill Rats, and Moncton Miracles.
