Sick of the cold already? Start dreaming about summer today and plan your next trip to U. S. Steel Yard, where green grass, bright sunshine and the crisp crack of a baseball bat shake the winter blues away.
The 2010 season is closer than you think, and the RailCats are proud to unveil their full schedule, including 50 home games for the first time in the eight-year history of U. S. Steel Yard. The 2010 schedule also features two new Northern League teams, with both the Rockford RiverHawks and Lake County Fielders making their first regular season trips to downtown Gary.
The RailCats open the 2010 season at home, starting a four-game series against the Kansas City T-Bones Thursday, May 20 at 7 p.m. Plenty of fun, family-friendly promotions are planned for Opening Night, and the 'Cats are also proudly bringing back Dollar Mondays, Fireworks Fridays, Giveaway Saturdays and Family Sundays in 2010, plus the introduction of Tuesday Kids Days.
