Sudbury Five News Release
(Greater Sudbury, ON.) The Sudbury FIVE Basketball team are pleased to announce that Jennifer McGillivray and Roberto Bagnato have joined the team's front office. The new staff have been busy engaging with fans, planning for the season and getting comfortable fitting into the SW Sports & Entertainment family.
"Having two high caliber people like Jennifer and Roberto is an exciting complement on the front office side of the business as we work hard to finalize the basketball operations first few hires," said VP Basketball Operations Bob Johnston. "There is a lot of work ahead, from league meetings, to hiring the new coach and an exciting summer and fall of roll out activities and these two professionals are helping lead the way."
Jen McGillivray was born in Elliot Lake and loves bringing new experiences to Northern Ontario. After spending years working in arts management, including three seasons as the Executive Director of the Sudbury Symphony Orchestra, she's thrilled to be able to join the SWSE team and contribute to the launch of The Sudbury Five.
Roberto Bagnato, born and raised in Sudbury, joins The Five team after a year with the Pittsburgh Penguins in their Youth Hockey Department. A graduate of the Sports Administration program at Laurentian University, Roberto enters his seventh season with Sudbury Wolves and SW Sports & Entertainment now and is excited to be launching The Five. He's eager for the new challenge and can't wait to bring professional basketball to the 705 and Northeastern Ontario.
