
The El Paso Diablos trounce EPCC 13-3

El Paso Diablos News Release
The El Paso Diablos trounced the El Paso Community College Tejanos 13-3 in an exhibition game from Cohen Stadium on Monday night from Cohen Stadium.
EPCC went to work in the top of the first inning. Daniel Gonzalez had an RBI-double as the Tejanos took a 2-0 lead.
The Diablos plated two runners in the first and two more in the second to take a 4-2 lead. Walter Olmstead belted a two run homer to pace the Diablos attack.
El Paso made it a 7-2 game in the bottom of the third. Matt Kent belted a two-run double in the frame.
The Diablos made it an 8-3 lead in the bottom of the fourth. J.D Reininger walked, moved around the bases on a single, and scored on a wild pitch.
Matt Kent continued his hot hitting into the bottom of the sixth inning. With the bases loaded, Kent drove in two with a double to the right center field gap, giving the Diablos an 11-3 lead.
Justin Knoff threw three innings allowing two earned runs off of three hits with one walk and one strikeout.
Julio Freites, Tim Vasquez, and Chris Thompson all tossed scoreless innings of relief.
The Diablos will close out their exhibition season with a 7:05 PM match up against the El Paso Community College Tejanos. Adam Blackley will get the start for El Paso. The price of admission will be two-dollars with open seating. El Paso Community College students get in for free with a valid student-ID. The game will be broadcast live at www.diablos.com with Jon Barr on the call.
