The Story:

The Pride beat the OL Reign in the two side's previous matchup at Exploria Stadium. Messiah Bright scored the game winning goal as the Pride took all three points in a 1-0 win.

Three Pride players were named to NWSL Team of the Month including forward Messiah Bright and defenders Kerry Abello and Kylie Strom, tied for the most players of any NWSL team represented in this month's Team of the Month. Bright also earned NWSL Player of the Month and Rookie of the Month honors, becoming the first player to win both awards in the same month.

Sunday's result could be critical for the Pride's push for the postseason, as the team currently sits just two points behind OL Reign in the NWSL standings. OL Reign are sixth in the standings and hold the final playoff spot.

The Pride will also be battling history heading in the match, as Orlando has never picked up all three points while facing the Reign on the road.

Quote of the Week:

"Obviously, we were disappointed after the last game, I felt we did enough to win the game. San Diego capitalized on two set pieces, and we have identified that we need to stay concentrated in those moments. We are all in good spirits and we still have the objective to win the games ahead of us and hopefully that starts on Sunday against Seattle."

- Head Coach Seb Hines
