The Story:

The Lions continue on the road as they face Atlanta United FC for the second time throughout the 2023 campaign.

The Clubs' first match up resulted in a 1-1 draw at Exploria Stadium and saw defender Kyle Smith score his first goal of the season and his fourth as a Lion.

The Five Stripes have gone undefeated at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in their last five matches at home.

Saturday's match will serve as the Five Stripes second match of the week due to their Wednesday match against New England Revolution, a 2-1 loss for the Georgia side.

"We had a very good game against them [Atlanta United earlier this season] here [at Exploria Stadium], it was one of our best games in terms of performance. They tied the game at the end and when we reviewed the game, we were very pleased with what we had. Obviously, there were things that we needed to get better at. They have changed their formations and there are things that we are evaluating, not because we are worried but because we need to equate it into our game plan. They play in the middle of the week against New England [Revolution] and we will pay attention to that as well and see. It is important that we can reinforce what we are doing right, especially in the last month. That way we can focus on that."
