September 15, 2004 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Texas Tycoons News Release

Fort Worth, TX. The ABA Texas Tycoons professional basketball team today announced that it would sponsor the former Future Ballas AAU National team, now called the Junior Tycoons, which will be the Junior Tycoon Basketball Association. This new basketball program will be geared towards the kids in the Fort Worth and surrounding communities such as Stop Six, Sycamore, South Side, Crowley, Haltom City, Arlington, Grand Prairie and Mid Cities. Coaches Maurice (Reese) Hairston and Kenneth Daniels will be running the program.

The Junior Tycoon program emphasizes fundamental skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship and positive adult participation with the goal of providing a fun and rewarding youth basketball experience where young players can create a bond with the game while also learning what it takes to be successful away from the court. Charles Key, Texas Tycoon CEO stated, "We feel it is important to have these kids behind our basketball team because they are the future. And our goal is to give back to the community. These kids will be interfacing with our team on a regular basis."
