Gwinnett Gwizzlies Steppe on up

Former Georgia Tech Star and 17th pick in the 1st round of the 1982 NBA Draft,and former Head Coach of Kennessaw State University Brooke Steppe has signed on as Head Coach for the new expansion franchise.

Darrell Hairston,the nephew of Los Angeles Lakers Legend Happy Hairston is a new assistant Coach, along with Jeff Bernstein of Barrow County. Bernstein son, Spencer who was an assistant at Clemson University will work in game day operations.

Seven of the Gwizzlies ten ballplayers are from metro Atlanta: Noah Shell of Brookwood High, Antoine Knighton and Patrick Binon of Redan High, Marcus Ward of Clark Atlanta, Shaun Jones of Georgia Tech, O'Neil Goodsen and Ardrell Hoard.
